About

Hello everyone!

In short, I started this blog to document any successes I stumble upon as I learn to cook. And to share with you my viewpoints and ideas for food, and learn from yours!

I started cooking when I was in college, as a way to escape from all those pressures and stresses, and do something creative and nurturing. I’ve come to love cooking more and more for those reasons.

Essentially, I see food as a meaningful way to show kindness — to yourself, to others, to animals, to the planet. (For more explanation on kindness to animals, others, and earth, see my page about vegetarianism.) And kindness to yourself? So important as we seek to live balanced, healthy lives and grow into generous, strong people. I love expressing this philosophy by cooking and serving nourishing, plant-based, and tasty food. Enjoy!

  1. It is a pleasure to “meet” you (recently, you commented on my Quinoa-Veggie Burgers post)! Although I will likely never become a full-fledged vegetarian, I am trying to incorporate more vegetarian meals in my diet, and so your wonderful blog will be helpful in this endeavor! Looking forward to trying out some of your recipes!

  2. Hi Becca,
